Motorized Slider Update

In the last two years I have gotten a lot of use out of my diy Igus slider rail dolly system. Up to this point it had been a full manual slider. I have been working with a lot of concepts on how to put a motor, or two, on it and have a variable speed control. Here is my first prototype of my motorized slider system:

A big thinks to the folks over at Servo City. Without there help I would not have the part do complete this and make it look as sharp as possible. This is their 45rpm precision gear motor. Once completed I will be posting a full diy video tutorial.

Knolle Farms Wedding Video

Just Married

We hope the two have a very fun and fruitful life together. We had a blast shooting their wedding. This was Big Box Pro’s first visit to Knolle Farms and we were quite impressed.

New Music Video for Waiting For August

The Austin based band, Waiting for August, just released their music video for their original song titles Crazy Games. We produced this video for them this past summer.

Most of the shooting was done at Music Lab in south Austin. Our opening and closing dream sequence were shot in at Woodrow Washateria, also in Austin.

The number one challenge was customers. Since we were shooting gorilla style with all available light we had to sweet talk the manager and her customers to kindly move to the other side of this small washateria. In the end I really like the was the intro and outro incorporated all members of the band. I encourage you to watch the clip and make comments. Video Slider Update

A few years ago I produced a video on making my do it yourself zaza video slider. I recently watched the video again and decided it was time for another round of edits. Above is the new video link on YouTube. The main reason for looking at the original video is the fact I am working out in the shop installing motors to my rail system seen in the video posted here. Once I motorize my slider I will post the video on this blog.

In the last two years I have relied in my Igus DIY video slider a lot. It was full manual and I have decided to put a motor on it. I will be posting a follow up video and a photos.

Most of my parts were ordered from Servo City. Below is my wire diagram used to limit motor from burning up when I get to the end of my rail.

Law Video Production vs Weddings

I get asked this question all the time, “What do you do for a living?” After explaining all the different types of video we produce then I get asked, “What do you like the most?” To tell you the truth I don’t have a solid answer for that. I love that we have a lot of variety of work and a vast amount of different work.

Today I want take a moment to reflect on some of the production work Big Box Pro Video Productions creates.

The majority of our work falls into two categories, wedding and law. The end product of these two types of production could not be any further separated from one another. Weddings are such a joyous occasion bringing together two families and the law video we produce usually covers the tearing apart of a family. Both come with rewards and benefits for doing a job well.

So today I’m working on a law video in San Antonio, Texas while thinking about preparation for our ethnic wedding this coming weekend.

We hope we have a wonderful new year in 2012.
